How to redirect branded short domains on Bitly

After you have a Branded Short Domain (BSD) through Bitly (bitly.com), you will want to make sure that people who might want to visit the actual domain name itself will not see the bitly landing page!

So here are the steps to make sure you redirect the custom bitly domain to… let’s say your Homepage.

For my example, I have a working BSD already as http://smnr.co/2txcTb2. But what if you’re the guy who wishes to see what the domain ’smnr.co’ is?

• Login to bitly.com
• Go click the Overflow menu (hamburger menu)
• Click ‘Settings’
• Click ‘Advanced Settings’
• Click ‘Branded Short Domains’
• Click ‘Edit’
• Type in your preferred Homepage or Landing page!
• Click ‘Save’
